The Kouruba Dam Project was officially commenced on the 18th May, 2016. The works includes construction of a multifunctional cross-river dam with both hydropower and irrigation systems.
The worksite is located 80 Km south to the capital city Bamako, at the Sankalani river, an upstream tributary of the Niger River, 50 km to the downstream Salinger hydropower station. The contract period is 24 months (rain season excluded).
